Save the Date for Mural Fest 2024 which will be taking place from ‘Paint Off’ on Sunday 3rd November to ‘Brushes Down’ at 12 Noon on Saturday 9th November at Mural Park in Sheffield. Nine artists will be selected to each create a mural based on the theme ‘The Magic of the Minuscule’ and will be competing for a $15,000 prize pool.

Following on from the success of Mural Fest 2023, the event will be open to the public free of charge from 9am to 4pm daily. In addition, Mural Fest will be conducting a photographic competition, kids art competition and encouraging attendees of all ages to paint on the “Gulliver’s Travels” public mural.

Mural Fest is entirely organised, managed, and staffed by volunteers, there are no paid positions, with the event relying heavily on the generosity of individuals and businesses in the community who value the creation of nine new murals each year in Mural Park.

President of KACT, Sandy Brattstrom commented, ‘Not only do these murals add to our area’s identity as ‘Tasmania’s Outdoor Art Gallery,’ they drive significant ongoing tourism and business to the area’.
