This year's theme, 'Amazing Discoveries' inspired a significant number of entries, all of exceptional quality and creativity, making the selection process incredibly challenging.
Sandy Brattstrom, President of Kentish Arts Commerce and Tourism commented, "We can't wait to see our Finalists transform Sheffield's iconic Mural Park in November, as their interpretation of this year's theme bursts into full-scale reality".
Over the course of six and a half days, the competition will test the artists' skills, endurance and tenacity while subjecting them to public scrutiny, time constraints and unpredictable weather, creating an exciting and competitive atmosphere this November.
We hope lots of people will join us for 'Paint Off' in Mural Park at 9am on Sunday, November 2nd when we will countdown the seconds to the official start of International Mural Fest, as artists begin to sketch up their murals and commence painting.
Voting for your favourite mural will commence on Monday 3rd November with 'Brushes Down' on Saturday 8th November at 12 Noon. Rosie Haden's 'Under the Radar' will be playing at Mural Park from 12 Noon to 2pm in the lead up to the Mural Miniature Auction and Awards Presentation at 2pm.
"We are very excited about this year's event, which will also feature a public paint-by-number mural that pays tribute to Mural Fest, the 'Amazing Discoveries' Through the Lens Photographic Contest exhibit, the 'Amazing Discoveries' Kids Art Contest exhibit, and the Working Arts Space Sheffield Members Exhibition - Famous Artists Reimagined at the Sheffield Arts Centre."
International Mural Fest 2025 is taking place from Sunday 2nd November to Saturday 8th November at Mural Park from 9am to 4pm daily. Open to the public and free of charge, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun at Mural Park, meet and cheer the artists on, vote for your favourite mural, contribute to the public mural, and end the week on a high by attending the Awards Presentation at Mural Park.
