Helen English

Pōkarekare Ana mural design by Helen English, International Mural Fest 2026 Finalist

Artist Statement

Helen is a multi-disciplinary artist from New Zealand, with a long-standing interest in painting wildlife and humankind. Her work uses symbolism to convey a message in a realistic style.

Strongly influenced by story and a need to show what lies beneath, the narrative in my paintings is about the environment as well as the women influencing and being influenced by the world around them. I love painting on a large scale, bringing details and ideas to life in a space which has impact on its surroundings.

Travelling across the Tasman from Rotorua, Helen returns to Sheffield for her second appearance as a Finalist at International Mural Fest! Her artistic connection to our Town of Murals extends beyond the festival, having also been commissioned to paint a mural at the Blacksmith Café & Grill.

Kristina Greenwood

Portals mural design by Kristina Greenwood, International Mural Fest 2026 Finalist

Artist Statement

Kristina Greenwood is an Australian artist based in Albury, New South Wales, with a formal background in Fine Art and Illustration. Since 2017, she has worked professionally as a mural artist, creating artworks for local councils, businesses and private clients.

Growing up in Qld, Kristina’s first introduction to the art world was her mother, a surrealist painter who depicted her dreams. This led to a fascination with the unknown, and the complexity of what it is to be human. A love for the intrinsic beauty of plants is also huge source of inspiration.

Overall, Kristina’s work playfully wonders between reality and the imaginary, instilling whimsy and a sense of wonder in viewers. Often returning to the theme of pondering on the human experience, and our connection with the intangible sides of our lives.

Returning to Sheffield for her third International Mural Fest, Kristina brings her wonderful imagination and distinctive artistic style back to Mural Park.
